Staffing update

Dear Riverside Families,

I write to share some staffing updates.

Mrs Burns remains absent on bereavement leave. We send her our Riverside best and I know that she would be comforted to know that the question I am most often asked every day by the children is ‘When will Mrs Burns be back?’

Mrs Benbow Principal Teacher has been with us for 14 months and has had a tremendous impact on our school community with her digital background, learning and teaching and leadership experience. She has been a fount of knowledge and expertise with an excellent reputation, so much so, that her skills are now needed elsewhere. We congratulate Mrs Benbow on securing the post of Depute Headteacher at The Community School of Auchterarder. With Friday 11^th September being Mrs Benbow’s last day at Riverside we wish her all the very best for her next post.

After a rigorous and extensive recruitment and selection process in June 26 involving Parent Council members, PKC Councillors, Quality Improvement Officers, other Headteachers and most importantly, pupils of Riverside Primary School we are delighted to announce the addition of Mrs Marshall to the Riverside team as Depute Headteacher. Mrs Marshall has a wealth of experience and skills which she brings to our school beginning on Monday 14^th September. We look forward to welcoming Mrs Marshall to our school and introducing her to the Riverside Way.

Lastly, after another extensive recruitment and selection process we are delighted to announce that Mrs Davis will be joining us as a teacher at Riverside Primary School. Among Mrs Davis’ responsibilities will be teaching Primary 4A. Mrs Davis has a start date of Tuesday 22^nd September.
